OK...here it is: MY FAIRY GARDEN!!!!!
Click on each photo for more detail!
For plants I used Mexican Heather, Aralia, and Ivy. Found all my little parts and peices at JoAnn Fabrics, Crafts N Stuff, and Walmart today! This was all fun, and sheer pleasure. I especially like that it will be indoors right near my front door where I can view it several times every day...and have many moments of happiness....all I have to do now is wait for the fairys to arrive!
That looks really cute. What do you have it planted in, and how big is it altogether?
ReplyDeleteCindy-
ReplyDeleteIt is planted in a saucer that is about 15 inches around...the edge kind of rolls out, so it looks bigger than it actually is. I had to drill a hole in the bottom (it is actually plastic that looks like terracotta), and I placed it on top of a smaller raised edge platter that holds it above the platter so it can drain).
That is soooo cute...
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love this little garden. You did a fabulous job!
ReplyDeleteThe little fairy looks suspiciously like a hedgehog! This is adorable.
ReplyDeleteI tried to skip the game, but my husband was watching, so I had to listen, if not watch. The outcome wasn't what he wanted, but he took it with equanimity!

Oh...I am glad your husband was OK with the outcome of the game...at least sort of! The little bunny on the doorstep, and the little hedgehogs on their sailing ship are waiting for the fairies to come while they frolic in the forest...they are very good natured and patient. I found no signs of fairy merriment this morning when I woke up...I must be patient myself...LOL
ReplyDeleteGinny...you should make one!!!
ReplyDeleteHow fun, Julie! I love your whimsical designs :-) I need to revitalize my miniature gardens. Here's a link to some of the photos:

Nikkipolani- I'm jealous...a fairy actually came to your garden!!! LOL. I love your miniature gardens...you have inspired me to refurbish my succulent tires, and use one for a miniature garden that has a "little trees" look. It reminds me of bonsai in a way, but not as much work...hopefully! Thanks for the photos! They are all just gorgeous!!!

Julie your fairy garden came out so cute!! Okay, I need more room...I need a bigger balcony, so I can have one too!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your fairy garden!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks all...it was really fun to make, and even more fun to look at and dream about the little fairies to visit!!! LOL.

Too cute! It looks like you had tons of fun making your fairy garden. It came out excellent! I wish I had more room to do stuff like that. One of the many drawbacks that I have to deal with living in an apartment.
