OK...not a REAL one...but this puzzle mantid was crawling around in my succulents after I built him and took him out for a walk! I found him, and a few other kits to build insects today at a dollar store. I could not believe my eyes when I saw the kit for this. It was fun to build real quick, and his new home will be amongst the succlents in the screenroom. I will keep on the look out for some real ones though, even still!!!
ha ha he's adorable,i am sure you'll find the real ones, you are the sort of person who doesn't give up.
ReplyDeleteOK, I know this is going to sound crazy but.......I've always been fascinated with dragonflies and when we first moved to Florida I was hoping to see them inmy yard. Well I didn't. Thenone year we installed a walk way aroundt he side of the house and it was so "blank" that I culdn't stand it so I used the house trimpaint to stencil a few different dragonfly patterns randomly along the walkway. Within a couple weeks we had dragonflies circling around, dozens of them! And, we have ever since. Could be coiencidence -could be the recognition of a familiar shape. Any dragonfly experts out there? Vickie
ReplyDeleteSoul B- thanks for the vote of confidence...it will be a miracle if I ever find one here...I think they must be easier to find in mid-north Florida.
ReplyDeleteVickie- How cool is that??? Pretty neat! I had only seen this one guy when I was out taking pics, and then about 20 minutes later I walked out the front door and there were swarms of a larger variety flaying everywhere about 3-4 ft. off the lawn! That was cool.
Vickie...that was really cool!
ReplyDeleteJulie, he is adorable!

ReplyDeleteWhat fun!!! I want it to now!!! Gosh... What are you doing to me??? I think I am done with gardening for this year, and now I want to start again!
