Well...we are all prepared for the storm!

I got home from work, went to the store to stock up...we are expecting winds of 40-58mph, and heavy rain with flooding tomorrow between 6am-6pm, from this darn storm, Fay. My prayers are with my fellow bloggers on the west side of the state though!

They have already closed school tomorrow (today was the first day here), and all county emplyees as well. I don't know what will happen with me as of yet. I am hoping to stay home because I have had a terrible sore throat all day today and just feel kinda crummy.

I hope I will not lose power tomorrow...I will miss you all for a while until it is restored, if we do. I will return though!!! Everyone take care!

  2. Julie - thanks for the kind post you left. I spent $199 at Publix yesterday basiclaly for canned goods and liquids. Today I've invited 4 people to stay with me so I went shopping for fresh in case it's only a bad storm and so Publix got another $100. Fay is busting my bank! LOL. I am thankful that I can do what I need to do - some folks don't have the funds in their checking account to buy the regular groceries much less stock up on extras. I probably won't have any others and will have a houseful of foods I don't normally eat (cookies, chips, crackers, donuts). Vickie

  3. I was wondering if you were in the "danger zone". Stay safe and hope your sore throat doesn't develop into anything. (for me it usually means a cold)

  5. Thx all...I'm sure it will not be much...but then you never really know. One year a hurricane was scheduled to hit about where this one is supposed to, and it made a turn east early and came straight to Palm Beach county! LOL. That was freaky!!! It was a level one hurricane, as I remember.
