Anyone know what this is?

I found this plant over at the college here, but no identifying sign! It is really beautiful...just wondering if anyone knows what it is?

  2. It looks like some kind of tropical plant and I know nothing about tropicals other than the most common houseplants.

  3. From the leaves and flower shape, I think it may be a Caesalpinia regia, (Delonix regia) or, more commonly known as Royal Poinciana. Let me know if you agree.

  4. Close, Aiyana! I believe it's Pink Pride of Barbados, Caesalpinia pulcherrima 'Compton' (or other named cultivar).
