A cheater Cactus Monday, and a weed walk!
I confess to not having a real cactus anything ready today, so I am showing you these ultra cool and cute little Cactus Pups! You can find them HERE! I think they are so adorable...but I still can't find a good reason to spend the money for them...and where would I put them? Maybe a new collection...maybe just one to take in my car, like Claude from Random Rants and Prickly Plants, with his pocket Buddha! Well.....maybe.....
Now, you may be wondering why I would be taking pictures of weeds??? Well...Doozey and I were taking a block around the block and I noticed 6 different little flowering types of weeds in everyones swale areas. I figured I would return with my camera, and yes...I did...but too late...by 4pm they were all closing up. The best pic is the last one of this absolutely adorable little white ball of bell like projections! It is so beautiful when seen close up! I love discovering beauty in small...sometimes very teeny types of things! There were 2 types of purple flowering weeds, 2 types of yellow, and two whites....but here is all you get for today. I will have to have another go at it next weekend when I can spend the time in the morning hours!
Hope everyone has a wonderful Monday and upcoming week! Now...I have 6 more days to try and think of a really fantastic cactus idea!!! LOL. xoxo
Those cactus pups are adorable!! Actually they kind of look like alarm clocks to me. LOL
ReplyDeleteHCM!!!!
They are cute!
ReplyDeleteI don't know the top flower, or the bottom ball shaped flower, but I could swear the middle lavender one is some sort of oxalis... did they have leaves that look a lot like some sort of clover? Because if so, it's an oxalis...
ReplyDeleteand the cactus pups are adorable. But with the economy like it is, it's getting harder and harder to talk yourself into things, isn't it?

Claude- it could be an oxalis...it was a distinctive clump of darker leaves that were broader and smoother. I know right where it is...so i can take a pic of the whole plant for ya when i can get back in morning light!
ReplyDeleteCathy- thanks for the info! I will check it out!

Cactus are not really my thing but I do enjoy reading your adventures with them and who could resist your lovely dog.
The cactus pups are cute but who has money to spend on that kind of stuff these days? Although one sitting on top of the computer for Cactus Monday inspiration would be sweet :)

ReplyDeleteHi Julie
ReplyDeleteIsn´t this link great?!
Love your new look .
I have tried endlessly to change my look with my own backgrounds etc but the HTML from blogger is different than normal websites and my knowledge is limited, so this is a nice alternative for the time being.
Have a nice day and get well soon!

At least your weeds are pretty. All mine--and there are plenty right now--are just plain ugly. There is a new one on my property this year. It must have blown in from somewhere. There are thousands of them and I am allergic to them. My hands are covered with a rash from picking them, so now it's either my husband or RoundUp!
