A sweet and scary bedtime story!
One day this really nice lady, named Julie, was busily, and oh so happily transforming one of her succulent tire gardens...skipping and jumping in the bright spring air as she transported her plants out to play with! In a split second, her eyes gazed downward...noting how dry her lawn was...when she spied a whole lot of beautiful miniature flowers growing right out from her grass! She bent down a little closer to check them out (cause she is half blind)...and lo and behold...here is just what she saw:
She was so pleased (because she thrives on miniature anything she can find)...when all of a sudden this big scary monster popped out onto one of her tires! It scared her so badly, she had to go in for a Mike's Hard Lemonade, and then she passed out from exhaustion (since she is fairly old...not REAL old, but fairly old.....)
THE END!
glad to know I'm not the only person who finds weeds fascinating...
ReplyDeleteThat's a nice spin to a scary story! I've got to say that the "scary monster" blends in perfectly with the succulent tire garden!
ReplyDeleteScary! But beautiful blooms..
ReplyDeleteC'mon now, Julie, you had a few of the "lemonades" before you even went outside. I skip and jump when I have had some of that "grape juice"
ReplyDeleteLol, hugs Sue.
I can imagine how startled you were when this little guy jumped up on your tire. Oh yes, and pass the lemonade please.
ReplyDeleteoh dear! he looks scary alright...
ReplyDeleteFunny and boy he is a nice size there.
ReplyDeleteAw, c'mon. You were probably just startled, not scared. He's harmless! And what a magnificent specimen!
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, those little flowers were nice too!
You told this story beautifully! It would have scared the bajeebers out of me.
ReplyDeleteYIKES!! I'm with you jumping and screaming. Pass that lemonade this way and we will have a party and discuss the nature of scary!
ReplyDeleteI laughed so hard reading this!! My sister LOVES Mike's ;P
ReplyDeleteI just want you to know your CM package will be mailed soon. I have 3 left to mail but it's taking a while because I'm also painting/drawing each envelope.
Hang in there, it's coming!
Actually I'm cracking myself up to think you're holding your breath for one of my atc's!
What super 'weeds' you have there - and beautifully photographed. And I love the scary monster as well - wish I had one!

Dee,
ReplyDeleteI like weeds too, I love Mike's and I'd probably pass out after seeing that thing jump out at me. Is that a Gila Monster (sp?) I used to see those a lot when I lived in Arizona (Sedona) but only in toy form and carried around by the kids of tourists.
Cool post.
Julie
