My dream plant...PACHYPODIUM SANDERSII

BLOOMING CROWN OF THORNS

A healthy OPUNTIA...(nice green, eh?)

  4. Great plants... but it was a sale... didn't any of them follow you home? I certainly wouldn't have been able to just leave them there...

  11. You're lucky to live so near a botanical garden. Closest one here is Bellingrath, in Alabama near Mobile. Did the garden you visited belong at one time to a wealthy family? Seems like many of them in the U.S. started out that way, including the one in St. Louis--one of my favorites. All the pics you took are lovely, but I'm particularly smitten with that one of the aloe.

  12. These plants were all actually part of the garden there, so they were not for sale...I was looking for a way to sneak out that Pachypodium though!!! LOL!

  18. I covet that snail! How cute. My P. saundersii is all leafed out now. It still hasn't fattened up--it just like to grow upward.
