I believe this is probably a Queen Palm...just look at these seed pods...wow...so gorgeous with their green and orange selves!!! I just had to take pictures!!!
I love palm trees! I'm really jealous that you have them everywhere. Hopefully I can move somewhere warming and grow some cold hardy ones like Trachycarpus fortunei. *drool* So tropical. So wonderful...
It is amazing to see what color combinations nature gives to us. Those are pretty. Looks like a gorgeous day there. We had a nice rain in the morning hours and at the moment the sun is out along with big white puffy clouds. : ) have a great evening.
Besides large canopy trees for shade, palm trees are my favorite. We lost alot of our palms over here this winter due to the freezes we got. We have several Manila Palms in our yard, and they really look bad, but still have a little green on top, so there's hope that they might be okay. All our other palms survived. Earthmother
Palms are such interesting plants. I know little to nothing about them except that they look exotic to me.

ReplyDeleteI have the hardest time keeping the dogs from not chewing on those. So worried they will swollow one and have an intestional blockage.
