EDM #9- Draw an organized mess!

This section of one corner of the play area for the grandkids is filled with stuffed animals, toys, etc. When I saw that Messyfish was drawing this particular #9 EDM...I was looking directly at this area of organized mess! I used these really neat markers to fill in color. I wanted to tell you that these are neat from the standpoint of being watercolor and they actually do build up with each stroke to a darker shade...so it gives a real watercolory look...something I need since I can't use a brush and do watercolors...yet!!! LOL :). (I wish, Teri and Lynn, and all you other watercolor people who are so amazing)!!! Hope ya'll have a smashingly great day!!!

  3. Very nice, Julie.... When I see your 'organized mess' picture, I think of my sons' toy boxes... Each of my two younger boys (who shared a bedroom back then) had a huge toy box for all of their toys. EVERY night, before going to bed, the boys HAD to pick up their toys and put them away in their toy boxes....

Thanks for the memories... These two sons were born in 1970 and 1971... Those were interesting times, when they were little.

    Hugs,
    Betsy

  5. Hey Julie, what a nice sketch. Love it. Looks like fun markers... I've been looking at art materials in Asia and have found some nice stuff - fun trying new mediums. Your organised mess looks really bright and cheery!

  6. Looks great Julie! Even the teddy looks fuzzy! My kids had toy bins stacked in there closets. It was hard to get them put away at night and a lot of the time I found them under the bed! LOL

  9. Great sketch...that's a very cute little stuffed piggy! I have a thing for pigs, have collected them forever and they seem to jump out at me! But even better are those markers...love them, for the smells though, since I've got zero talent in the drawing world! Enjoy looking at yours!

  10. Excellent! I thinkbthats the idea of edm. To just draw what's in front of you. Not to think about it too much but focus on the mundane. As a result your little messy corner has produced such a vivid and interesting picture. Love those markers you are using...
