Why bother planting, when you can stick cuttings in water and add a few drops of fertilizer (Liquid Miracle Gro Houseplant Fertilizer)??? The ultimate in modern, easy gardening! Yeahhhhh! If I didn't have a cat, I'd add a fish (minus fertilizer)!
I grow that exact plant - my mom gave me cutting from hers. I have two different decorative ceramic containers that I've found at Goodwills and I filled them with rocks and water and the small clippings, months later they are huge, these things grow like crazy with just water and rocks, it's awesome!
You have a cat? I don't recall if you ever mentioned or posted a picture of your kitty.
