Humpty's great fall !!!

I found the cutest Humpty Dumpty at the thrift store...part of a salt and pepper set. I had to get it for Emily, as this is one of her favorite nursery rhymes right now. Well, tonight, the inevitable happened...Humpty Dumpty had a great fall!!!

I tried to peice him back together again, but it got down to the last few peices and they would not fit in place...so I did the best I could. I like how you can see that he "couldn't be put back together again"!! Poor Humpty!

He doesn't look too bad from this angle!

Here he is back up on his wall, on the fountain...with lights on.

And with lights off.

We discovered the neatest guy who makes a bunch of different videos of elaborate scenes made from dominoes that he knocks over (or his cat does)...while searching for Humpty Dumpty videos on YouTube. Here is the one we found,

and if you are intregued by this concept, note how many others he has made..kind of addicting to watch!

  1. Aw, poor Humpty! When my sister was a baby, she had a Humpty pillow. It was so cute. I always remembered it, and when I grew up and had my first baby, I got him a Humpty pillow just like it. (I think I was more attached to it than either my son or my sister were!)

  7. Poor Humpty! But I guess it is inevitable with little ones and ceramic objects. But great effort trying to put it back together!

  8. Cindy...I had a Humpty pillow!!! It is still in the closet at my Moms house! I will have to go find him and take a pic. I wonder what the poor guy looks like today! Evidently I absolutely loved him nearly to death. A relative made him and he was embroidered.

Lisa...no, we haven't started with Bea Potter yet, but simply must!!!
