Went out to check the corn, and we are at a new stage....the plants have made tassels. Is that the right name for them?? No ears yet, but should be soon. Corn has been a lot of fun to watch. The first two Mr.S tomatoes are shown here...finally tomato production is underway!!!
I can taste those lovely home grown tomatoes already.
ReplyDeleteAmazing to see since we are now frozen in for the winter.
ReplyDeleteLooks great! SAM and I were just talking the other day about wouldn't it be nice to live in a part of Florida that isn't so darn cold in winter!
ReplyDeleteYAY! It's always so satisfying to see your food grow....haven't had the opportunity in a long, long time but I still remember it. Mind you, I do have my potted chili plants so they'd count, wouldn't they? I do love to see them flowering and then bearing chillies.
ReplyDeleteThe perfect thing, fresh tomatoes to beat away the cold.

We were getting snow/mist earlier tonite and expecting more on Saturday. Nice to see something green and growing.
ReplyDeleteYour corn looks great in the buckets, if i tried that they'd all fall over. I don't know if i could do tomatoes in a bucket in the house or not. I'd have to grow from seed cause nobody would have any plants around here to even try it.
I admire your ambition. I get tired of hearing folks say "i have no room to grow anything". I'd love to just show them what you have done.
Thanks 553943c8. I love my buckets. I would tell you to just try growing them in a sunny window for the winter...don't be afraid to just try...I call just about everything I do an experiment!!! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteCool looking tomatoes and look at your corn. Neat!
