I have come upon three street names that I just chuckled over recently...2 of them just yesterday! I wanted to stop and take pictures, but of course, I was working at top speed and determined it would not be a good thing to stop! I thought I would take a little poll:
Which one would you prefer to live on?
1. Pot of Gold Street
2. Shangri La Lane
3. Yellow Brick Road
Leave a comment. I think I might have to pick Yellow Brick. It's just too cute...and you know...there really is no place like home!!!
xoxo- Julie
My first thought was I like Yellow Brick Rd. best, but Pot O'Gold is a close second. People would remember the name of the street you lived on, even if they didn't remember your name!!! I love it. I live in a much less imaginative town the streets are alphabetical one way and numerical the other, thus I live on 5th off of A! Clever, huh?
ReplyDeleteMe too will pick Yellow Brick Road!
ReplyDeleteWell, I couldn't live on Pot of Gold street... quite frankly, I don't wanna be in a higher tax bracket... and Yellow Brick Road is out because if I remember right, you're always following the yellow brick road, and you're never getting there... nope, I'm taking Shangri La Lane... worry free, and that's for me...
ReplyDeletePut me down for Shangri La.
ReplyDeleteCute poll. I think I would also like to live on "Yellow brick road". Yellow is a happy color and your right about there is not place like home.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day Julie.
Blessings,
Bobbie Lynn
Yes, I'm a 'yellow brick road' walker. Over the rainbow is a great place to be.
ReplyDeleteYellow brick road for me!! All those crazy characters, i would love it!!
ReplyDeleteI know the other 2 are way smarter.. but darn.. I'd follow the yellow brick road. no doubt.
ReplyDeleteHi Julie, it HAS been crazy here. I am exhausted. Come home. Sleep. Wake up. Teach. Go home. Eat. Sleep. And do it all over again. Final exams are crazy!
ReplyDeleteOkay...I'll share one from Tucson that cracks us all up. There is a street called "Calle Sin Nombre" which literally means "Street With No Name". It's very clever:) I don't know why, but my vote is for Shangri La Lane
I want to be living on Shangri La with a pot of gold so I could travel the yellow brick road. Dear Santa I want it all.
ReplyDeleteI choose Pot of Gold, since gold is one of the gifts the wise men brought to Jesus.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely Shangri La Lane.
ReplyDeleteI'm with the yellow brick road.... it has hope, future, potential, the unknown, excitement, movement, and besides all that... great song lyrics!
ReplyDeleteIt would definitely be Shangri La Lane for me ~ :)
ReplyDeleteAnother pick for the Yellow Brick Road...it just sounds happy!
ReplyDeleteI love the Shangri La Lane. But I wouldn't mind the pot of gold either.
ReplyDeleteHope you are enjoyingf the busy December month dear♥
We have a shangri la rd round the corner from us!
ReplyDeletei think i'm with you, yellow brick road would be my choice. happy holidays.
ReplyDeleteOver in west Australia i saw the yellow brick road which led to a lookout at some gorges. We drove along this ordinary dirt road, when all of a sudden the dirt was yellow! I felt like jumping out of the car and skipping along clicking my heels. It was amazing....so I would have to say the yellow brick road because it was in a beautiful area and not too far from the ocean as well.
