Well, as some of you may have heard, yes, I quit my job yesterday...well, gave my 2 weeks notice anyway! Now I can't sleep wondering what I will do from here. I don't have a new job lined up, but we can live on one salary for a while. I have applied for one, now if they would just call me and love me...I think it would be a perfect job for me...it is a teaching job. I won't say much yet, so as not to jinx anything...but keep your fingers crossed!
I felt the weight of half the world lift off my shoulders from the moment I knew I would give my notice! Today I actually went out to visit my plants and I enjoyed spending time with them (I had no time before). I find everything seems like brand new again for me...like seeing the night sky, noticing small things again.
Life can be absolutely ruined when you get too busy and over stressed to enjoy it anymore.
I have my fingers crossed ! But in the meantime I hope you just relax and enjoy your new found freedom ,sounds like you deserve it !

ReplyDeleteKeep your chin up. Things will work out.:)
ReplyDeleteSo that's what the DREAD was all about! Oh dear! So sorry this one didn't work out. Your perfect job is out there somewhere.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! You sound very happy with your decision, it is stressful to have to get up every morning and go to a job you don't like. You took a leap of faith and I'd be willing to bet it will work out for the best! Enjoy your short vacation.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your sweetness, everyone! So far I have gone out for drinks to celebrate and made myself a really delicious pie to eat. I best be careful, eh??? hehhehehe. :)
ReplyDeleteAs long as you have peace in your belly, everything will work out just fine.
ReplyDeleteGood for you Julie. I hope you get your dream job soon. Life is too short to live stressed.
ReplyDeleteHi Julie,
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear the job did not work out for you. I pray that a better job is around the corner for you. A job that brings you only stress is not a good one. I think some stress is good but if it is consent, NO! Rest and have a good day.
Blessings,
Bobbie Lynn
You really do sound relieved. If you do get some time off between jobs, I know you'll put it to good use. :)
ReplyDeleteHeavy and light at the same time.
ReplyDeleteScary to give your notice in these times but eh....I know you will be hired again . Hope for a better job and I admire your courage!
Keeping my fingers crossed ;)
Congratulations on taking great care of YOU! Jobs will come and jobs will go—there's only one you. If this one isn't the right one, you'll find another.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your time off!
You are a very strong girlie. I am sure the right job will come along.
