Visitors to my front yard!

There must be something awfully delicious in all our yards these days as these "ladies" have been quite populous in recent weeks! They are White Ibis.  I call them "the ladies", but of course we have a mix of males, females and juveniles which are a mixed gray color. Fun to watch.

    They are beautiful birds, and it is good they have found your lawn a place of food, but do not...and I emphasise DO NOT give them even a morsel from your table..not a crumb or you will have them forever my dear. They will want to eat at your table or one it if you encourage them.

    As long as they stick to the bugs and leave the veggies and fruit alone, they're welcome here! I've seen them here at different times, pecking around in the cotton and peanut fields nearby. They usually take off when someone tries to get close. The ones in your yard must be more used to people.

    I love the Ibis, the Herons, and the Storks here in Florida. Oh, and the Roseate Spoonbills are a treat!
