My eggplants are going to town right now. I have 3 on each plant in various stages. I love eggplant plants in the south, because you can keep them going for approx. 3 years! These are in the first year, but should continue to fruit solidly over the 3 years! Amazing! This is my first time growing these large white egg shaped type. Sure hope they taste great! I have szechuan ideas for them!!!

You are growing eggplants?? That is the coolest thing EVER. Will they turn purple? I always wondered why they are called eggplants but I think I know, now.
ReplyDeletePretty roses and Hiiii Doozey! <3
This was the very first year we grew eggplant and I'm so happy to say it was a success! Lots of eggplant - beautiful purple and delicious! I love seeing what you've been up to! Your garden looks great! Our days are cooling too - oh my, Doozey is ADORABLE!
ReplyDeleteHi Julie,
ReplyDeleteYour roses have come on wonderfully and give a lovely display of colour. Do they have any perfume.
You will have fun making up recipes for your egg plants. I love the flavour of them. They are good in greek dishes.
Doozey looks very cute
Those look like the original egg plants since they are white. I was not introduced to egg plant until I was older. I wouldn't know what to do with one. It is a pretty fruit.
ReplyDeleteJessica...no these will stay white, but there are all different types : http://www.iloveeggplant.com/varieties
ReplyDeleteLucky you to be able to grow such great looking eggplants. The gardening year has ended for me and I finally dug up the last of the carrotsthis weekend. The garden has been put to rest for another year.
ReplyDeleteHave a very Merry Christmas Julie!
ReplyDeleteJulie, where are you? How's Doozy?
