Late Tuesday night ...

Did I ever post a pic of the ferns in my front planter? A few years ago, I dug up some of the ones I have growing all wild-like in the perimeter of my backyard...(yeah, there are plenty more where these came from), and put them in this planter that runs along the front of my house! They spread, and grew very lush, and I think they really look so soft and great, really! It was my Moms idea. She is the genius in the family. I'm very glad I listened because once I got them established with daily watering for about 6 months or so, and a little fertilizer here and there, they have been self sustaining. All they get now is sunshine and a rare rain. They usually do get a little burned on their tips in full summer, but they recover in the fall and look great all winter! That shutter has been closed since our last hurricane. It is my daughters room, and she kinda likes having it closed off in the front, but still has her side window open. I think it is a security thing with her. It makes the house look like it is winking! I always get an urge to wink back at it when I take time to notice! Ha ha ha!

I worked till 8:30pm tonight, then stopped at Walgreens to get a few things, came home and walked the dog, and it was 10pm before I could sit down! YIKES! Good thing it is not usually quite this crazy! I am appreciative of my blog...it is such a great relaxation tool. I appreciate all of you that leave comments on my little ol' blog, too! A blog just makes your life better. Hope your week is going well.
