Christmas table cloth find!

While shopping in an antique shop here a few weeks ago, I came upon this tablecloth! I love old tablecloths! I usually only buy them if they can be used at holiday times, because otherwise I never have a cloth on the table (I have to be able to write at the table, and do projects of all sorts)! When do you think it was made? I am guessing in the 50-60's. I love the red poinsettias and candles, but my fav detail are the pinecones! Awesome...can't wait till Christmas now!

  1. These types of linens were made anywhere from the 40's to the 60's... I'd put this one in the mid to late fifties from the artwork... If there are any little stains in there, try OxyClean, or buy 30 volume Hydrogen peroxide, (This is the very strong peroxide they use to bleach hair) Dab it on, run hot water over it and hang it in the sun... Aren't you lucky that you have a blogger friend who works in Flea Markets? ;-)

  2. Yes, I am, Claude!!! Thanks for the info! I do have a few teeny stains. I will try Oxy Clean...I have an allergy to whitening products like Bleach and peroxide, but if the Oxy doesn't do anything (I haven't seemed to have a problem with Oxy), I will take it to my Mom and she will do the peroxide treatment for me! THANKS!!!
