What wonderful photos! What is the plant with the unusual orange flowers, 6th and 7th down? I love how you have made little rockeries in the old tyres, what a great idea!
Aiyana- I have 3 tire gardens that are three tires high, and two gardens that are two tires high...none that are only 1 tire high! I have had them arranged differently when they were vegetable gardens, prior to the sux, but since doing the succulents they have stayed as they are now!
Mooimadeit- those are called Gloriosa Lilies...they came to my yard on their own and have really spead ove the past few years! I just adore them!!!
Claude...if you can get your hands on just one plant...they spread over time so well!!!
Vickie- LOLOL! My yard is like an overgrown jungle! I don't really "grow" things...they just sort of come to me! LOL. If I plant it and it survives, it gets to stick around, sort of thing!!! LOL.
Julie, I think that if left to your own devices you could single-handedly save the rain forest. I must admit I'm very jealous of your back yard- what a paradise!!
Your garden is lovely, Julie! The one (vine?) with the white flowers...is that a jasmine? If so, I imagine you would get a beautiful fragrance from it.

In our previous house, we had mock orange growing in front and back yards and, when it flowered, the beautiful fragrance went throughout the house...beautiful! It attracted a lot of bees too. :)
Serena- the white flowered thing is a jasmine...I want to say confederate jasmine...it has been about 12 years since my neighbor and I planted it alternating on each side of the fence...but we also added in a few other kinds of jasmine as well. Different parts of the fence bloom different times of the year! LOL.
