Mary Engelbreit is just plain wonderful! I went to her website and she has some free things there for us! I picked one of her free backgrounds for my desktop that says:
"The love of learning, the sequestered nooks, and all the sweet serenity of books"!
That statement is ME! You can find me sequestered away somewhere with a book, or a laptop..learning all of the time.
I hope you will
go visit and see if Mary has something free for you also!
Hi Julie
ReplyDeleteOh thats a cute desktop and nice tht the words are so suited to you. I really enjoy learning too especially online. Oh my I've learned so much blogging and it makes me look up other things as a result. Fun stuff too.
I will have to go and check it out. Thank you for letting us know. Enjoy your nice weather..:o) I hope your cornplant is doing well.
Judi
Judi- Mr. Corn plant is hanging in there right now! I read not to water too ofter...that over watering can be a big problem...and to wait until the soil is dry several inches...so right now it is just a matter of time....in 2 weeks I will try a light application of fertilizer.
ReplyDeleteIsnt it the best thing in the world that we have such a huge vast library of everything on the planet right at our fingertips!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it great when you find something that is made for you! I like her also.
ReplyDeleteYes I love her too, all so colorful and happy. I once bought a calender and after the year was over I never trew it away. The illustrations are so wonderful I couldn´t just trow it away!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link!
Cute Julie. I love my little nook too.
ReplyDeleteIt's a very cute desktop... a little too cute for me, but I'm sure that Mary Engelbright isn't neccesarily shooting for the guy market LOL
ReplyDeleteI tend to think of her and some of the other artists... Holly Hobby, Debbie Mumm, etc... as a little to adorable. Or, to quote Oscar Wilde... "Just so utterly utter" But the sentiment does suit you perfectly.
Claude-LOLOL!!!
ReplyDeleteI’m a big fan of her magazine. It is always full of neat stuff to see and do.
ReplyDeleteI'm a bookaholic too, Julie! Thanks for the link....will check it out shortly ~ :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing Julie.
ReplyDeleteIt's really a great surprise!!!
She has a great blog and I love the free stuff:)
That quotation reminded me of a quote I read a long time ago on Time magazine: Of all the arts in which the wise excel, nature’s chief masterpiece is writing well.
ReplyDeleteAnd here is another family site with lots of hints: http://www.hintsandthings.co.uk/index.htm
