One of my fav artists!

Mary Engelbreit is just plain wonderful! I went to her website and she has some free things there for us! I picked one of her free backgrounds for my desktop that says:

"The love of learning, the sequestered nooks, and all the sweet serenity of books"!

That statement is ME! You can find me sequestered away somewhere with a book, or a laptop..learning all of the time.

I hope you will go visit and see if Mary has something free for you also!

  2. Judi- Mr. Corn plant is hanging in there right now! I read not to water too ofter...that over watering can be a big problem...and to wait until the soil is dry several inches...so right now it is just a matter of time....in 2 weeks I will try a light application of fertilizer.

  7. It's a very cute desktop... a little too cute for me, but I'm sure that Mary Engelbright isn't neccesarily shooting for the guy market LOL

I tend to think of her and some of the other artists... Holly Hobby, Debbie Mumm, etc... as a little to adorable. Or, to quote Oscar Wilde... "Just so utterly utter" But the sentiment does suit you perfectly.

  11. That quotation reminded me of a quote I read a long time ago on Time magazine: Of all the arts in which the wise excel, nature’s chief masterpiece is writing well.

And here is another family site with lots of hints: http://www.hintsandthings.co.uk/index.htm
