I went out to take pics of my tire gardens tonight and this tire-ful sure looks sad. I would say all my tires need a little bit of fixin up...but this one in particular. It is hard to see in the photo, but they are all turning a reddish color...I hope from the winter light, and not some weird malady.
I have this plant & it stays outside all the time. I noticed it changes color during the winter. Has yours bloomed? Mine has & it is an unusual looking bloom. I have it in a pot & need to re pot it so think I may do this in the Spring.
ReplyDeleteIt's just in it's winter mode... It'll be fine. A lot of mine got froze! But there's some still alive, and it grows fast, so I'll have plenty for next year.
ReplyDeleteLola-yes, mine has bloomed several times now, and it has a spectacular flower! Maybe this weekend I can get my tires revamped again! I hope so.
ReplyDeleteClaude- I figured it was just a winter thing. Thanks...always hoping for the best!!
I don't think you need to worry about this plant. I used to have one like it and it would go through these spells.
ReplyDeleteMine bit the dust a few months ago. Don't know why!
ReplyDeletevery intresting, but neat.
ReplyDeleteI also have only one cactus at home.
ReplyDeletePreviously, i watered the other few cactus too frequent. So their roots rotton.
I hope yours are fine soon:)
Mine looks just like this right now! They do recover fine, as long as they don't freeze.
ReplyDeleteAiyana
very interesting, is there a particular reason it is planted in a tire?
ReplyDeleteMy first visit to your blog, I have enjoyed reading....
