Interesting name. The bulbous base reminds me a little of my Buddha Belly plant (Jatropha podagrica)....not the same, of course. The Fockea has much smaller and different shaped leaves....I wonder if we get them in Australia.
Am I the only one here who sees a head at top with the hair growing out of it in dreadlocks on top of a fat belly? Love it. Thought of you often on this recent trip away we just took, as I saw the most amazing succulents which I will share on my blog soon for you and all to see. ;-)
What a name!
ReplyDeleteLOL, what a beautiful plant. I love the fatties of the cacti and succulent world.
ReplyDeleteAwww, this reminds me of the fockea I killed last year. Sigh.
ReplyDeletebetter say that carefully!

Cool plant! I'm beginning to resemble it.
ReplyDeleteOh my! Hubby would LOVE one of those. He likes chubby fat rooted bonzais--and that looks much the same.
