Adding Frozen characters to my snowflake pillowcase!

I've had these two done for a few weeks, but suddenly got sort of burnt out on the project!  I still have three more characters to add!!!

Here is OLAF:
 And ELSA:
Pray I can get re-motivated to do more before my granddaughter moves on to a new absolute LOVE of something else!!!

Meatless Monday

I searched Allrecipes. com for a lentil recipe, as that was one thing I had on hand. I found this quiche.   I was surprised at how light it was. Almost like eating a bit of heaven!!! If you are not a lentil fan, I would not recommend it, because that is a predominate flavor. It is, however chock full of vegetables, and I even added the cheese in mine and still ate a big portion due to the vegie/lightness of it. I did add more seasonings before cooking and also salted a bit more after cooking. My husband and I thought it was a great meatless entree.

My colorful garden today! Zone 10, don't forget!

I picked up a few more colorful snapdragons this afternoon, and suddenly I was swarmed with birds! I was looking out the kitchen window a few minutes ago and saw a male and female cardinal, a blue jay, 2 cowbirds, and about 4 little birds that looked like swallows with gray tops and yellow bellies. I had to go out and take pics of the garden flowers because it is the most colorful it has ever been, I believe!
A LONG VIEW OF THE TIRES:
A LITTLE CLOSER:
DELPHINIUMS, white and yellow SNAPDRAGONS:

Hope you enjoyed my little garden! Remember, if you live where it is freezing cold right now, this is our growing season down here! If you are having snow, ice and bad storms right now, I hope my pictures will make you think of how close spring is for you!!!
Loads of love,

My Christmas Cactus is a Valentine Cactus!

Here is my little "Christmas Cactus"...all ready for the current holiday!!!  Yes, it is gonna be gorgeous just in time for sweethearts day!  Yippie!
One little branch sticking out so sweetly!
We took a day trip today and wound up at a beautiful park in Broward County where pony rides were offered for 3 dollars!  My sweet granddaughter, Emily was happy to go!  Here she is with her Mom guiding her!
Then on the way back home, we all wanted ice cream.  We ended up at a Kilwin's in downtown Lake Worth right next to a Kava bar where this great little 3 piece group played.  My DIL's father is friends with the bass player, so we stopped to allow Donovan, my grandson who plays the bass in school, to see them. They were really great and it was a ton of fun!  We did NOT DRINK KAVA!!!  One of the guys was on flute, and I was excited because that was my instrument in school.
Here is a quick pic I snapped of my pink tipped bromeliad...it's a pretty one, again looking quite lovely for Valentines Day!
Hope everyone is well, staying warm (those of you in non-tropical zones)...
xoxo- Julie
