Felt creatures, fruits and a radish!

Today the grandkids were at the other grandparents home, so my daughter and I took advantage of the quiet time to hand sew some teenie little cuties! She bought the book The Cuter Book, by Aranzi Aronzo at B & N last night, and was so inspired to try her hand at sewing for the first time EVER...(I am still in shock over it)!

We had a ball doing it. She learned how to tie knots, hide her knots, do different stitches, cut felt, peice things together, and she has found she can do something she never thought she would be able to do, let alone enjoy! Of course, her Mom is over the moon over it all. Her next creation will be a cute little monkey! She has sewn the rabbit to a pink cloth headband she had, and it is so adorable!

Now that she has settled into this without needing much help from me, I am considering heavily starting some sort of embroidery project. I have missed my handsewing!

Don't you just love it when something sparks your muse. These little felt creatures are cute.

These are fun. And it's great to discover new talents.
