Your succulents are gorgeous! We just bought a house in South Florida (Broward) and I just discovered the obsessive joy of collecting succulents, but I can't figure out where to keep them! Everyone says something different. I get sun on all sides of the house (except a small area in the north) and we don't have trees for shade. The east side has a strong morning sun due to a large water canal, the west side has a strong afternoon sun, and the south side... is the south side, all sun. What would you suggest as a good place for my poor just-bought plants?

Hi Emi. I have the succulents that cannot tolerate full sun in my screen room. You will have to watch closely that any you place outdoors to be sure they can handle it. Immediately remove to shade if they start to burn. It is trial and error. I would think any location would be fine. Good luck! Stay in touch. Hope to see some photos of your succulent babies one day!!!

Oh your succulents and flowers all look so beautiful!! Thank you for sharing these wonderful photos. We are still buried under heaps of snow, the temperature is only 6 F and more snow is in the forecast. Your flowers and gorgeous succulents were just what I needed to see today :)

Just scanned through several of your posts! I LOVE the photos of succulents and your little coffee book is wonderful! :) I've decided that succulents will be the main focus of my gardening here on the lake, cuz I need things that are easy to care for. So gonna start with pots I think, and see where it leads me. :)

Julie, you have a real talent for color grouping. All the photos were so crisp and vibrant. I have never considered growing anything in a tire before - what a novel idea! I love succulents too. We have several large aloe clumps in the yard and I have a few in the house in little bowls. I might have to copy your succulent groupings for my houseplants! thanks for sharing.

The succulents are so beautiful! I've just recently discovered them, but mine are indoors (Zone 5a). Really enjoying your blog.
