Happy Cactus Monday, ya'll!

GOLDEN BARREL CACTUS

I visited Heathcote Botanical Garden for an art and plant sale on Saturday, where I came upon these cactus and succulents, and more. Here are my favorites.

BLOOMING ALOE

My dream plant...PACHYPODIUM SANDERSII

BLOOMING CROWN OF THORNS

A healthy OPUNTIA...(nice green, eh?)

and as we were leaving this cute little roly-poly SNAIL, said "Hurry back, ya'll"!!

Great plants... but it was a sale... didn't any of them follow you home? I certainly wouldn't have been able to just leave them there...

You're lucky to live so near a botanical garden. Closest one here is Bellingrath, in Alabama near Mobile. Did the garden you visited belong at one time to a wealthy family? Seems like many of them in the U.S. started out that way, including the one in St. Louis--one of my favorites. All the pics you took are lovely, but I'm particularly smitten with that one of the aloe.

These plants were all actually part of the garden there, so they were not for sale...I was looking for a way to sneak out that Pachypodium though!!! LOL!

You need to move to Arizona the way you love succulents and cactus. We see these everywhere! Great photos Julie!

Beautiful cactus there and I’ve always wanted to buy a barrel cactus but I’m not sure where to put one in my yard. The Crown of Thorns is very interesting and if love the flower on it. The snail it too adorable.

Nice to see some of my long time favorites and also some cool-looking plants that are new to me like crown of thorns and the pachypodium. The snail couldn't be any cuter!

I covet that snail! How cute. My P. saundersii is all leafed out now. It still hasn't fattened up--it just like to grow upward.
