For those of you who expressed interest in seeing my red passionflowers...here they are! On the fence that is the backdrop to the tire garden, I have red passionvine, jasmine (4 kinds),the little light purple flower vine (seen below with bees/unknown to me), and Morning Glories. I worry at times that the chain link fence may fall over one of these days, but not only is it gorgeous, but works as a privacy screen between yards. As much as I love my neighbor, it is nice to have that visual barrier.
I went out to the garden in early evening the other day and found all of these closed up Morning Glories! Are they not the sweetest? I can honestly say I have not paid close enough attention to them previously to even notice. I had to take a few pics!
And a few bee shots too! They are adorable popping in and out of these flowers covering a larger and larger portion of the fence. (Some sort of vine, I know not what).

And your Morning glories fold much differently than mine. Is CA and FL so different?
I wonder if the bees are in some Mexican primrose? Mine does not grow on a vine however but on the ground. ??? Wonderful flower/photos all!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have never even heard of a red passion vine. It is beautiful. I do the same thing with our section of chain link fence. There are vines growing on it. I like privacy and so do my neighbors. I can't wait until I am out chasing bees around the garden trying to take their photo. It won't be long now.

I can't believe so much is blooming in your garden. My weedy yard had gardenias blooming last week, but none today. Only my Eucalyptus tree is putting out new limbs (where I don't want them). Everything else is still dormant.
And, I lost most of my succulents over the winter. I've had them outside for 5 years... We had a very cold winter - many nights in the low 20s.
Hey, Julie. Great shots...love the curled ends of the morning glories. I'm always amazed with the large red blooms of the passion vine, too. Where in Palm Beach are you? I'm in Jupiter.
The flowers are gorgeous, Julie and the bee popping in and out that amused L'tl A very much. She wanted to know why that is so...:)
Those are the most interesting morning glory photos I've ever seen. Had to laugh at that bee. He has his head pretty far down in that bloom.

I know I'm re-iterating some thoughts, but RED passiflora?? I had no idea - and it's so vibrant!
I love my passionflower (it produced plenty of blooms indoors this winter, which blew my mind!)
is it rare? I would love to find one for myself, but I do live in Toronto where I'm doubting they are readily available
