Sudden urge of creativity!

Don't ask me why...but I was suddenly, and without warning, hit by an urge to do something creative...so I walked out to the backroom where all the art stuff is stashed...my eye fell on some chalk pastels belonging to my daughter...I picked them up, grabbed my sketchbook, and sat down at the table and drew this pumpkin! You know, these pastels can make one feel like an artist even if one is not an artist! It is a glamorous feeling, and it was exceedingly fun. So in celebration of fall, and dropping temperatures for those of us in the south, or west...here is my cute lil fall pumpkin!

I can see right now I need to get some of these pastels. What a wonderful pumpkin. Don't you just love it when the muse hits and you respond??

Thats really nice!

I do understand even I have that urge to do something at the very instant and then you feel sooo relieved (whatever the outcome!)

I am back and happy to see you all in full swing:)

I love it and I think you need to find a little frame for it. : )

How cute! Pumpkins have been haunting my dreams lately. The one drawn by you is infinitely cuter than any I, nowadays, am dreaming of:-)

Happy Autumn! The oak leaves and acorns add a nice touch. Cooler weather makes me think about baking bread and making soup. :)

Love the texture you put on that little pumpkin. When I first saw the picture, it looked like a photo of a little sculptured pumpkin or something.

Good for you for letting your creativity flow out. Too often I let the feeling pass and miss out on little gems like this.

When I was coloring in the striped areas, I left some white open and it caused that look...i suppose that is what it was, Marianne!!!

It's good to have this urge, just let the desire to create burning!
Love the two tone colours articulated here, so warm, earthy and magical:)
