Popping "Mexican Sunflowers", and Emmie!

These sunflower bushes (they grow huge) are all bursting with blooms this past week! In the top photo you can see the top of my Moms house on the right side of the pic just to show how they are towering over it! This one must be 14 ft. tall at least. Hers is chock full of flowers...just gorgeous!

I am showing a closer look...

And a real close look! So pretty!!!

Speaking of pretty...here is a real cute girl we all recognize as my sweet granddaughter, Emily June, visiting my cousins cat, Taco...and she enjoys getting her Great Grandmas jug of cat food and feeding him.

Well, long after the cat had eaten and gone, she played with the food, taking it out, and putting it in the cats dish, then back in the jug, and so on and so on. I enjoyed having the minutes of quiet time just sitting there watching in the cool, dry breezy air we are having right now. I thought I might be in heaven!

I've learned to appreciate the small moments of just normal stuff that happen.

That's an extremely patient cat. Mine do not tolerate anybody that close when they're eating...

That sweet little face is brighter than those sunflowers. It is cool here now too. No big beautiful blooming shrubs though. It is too cold. Enjoy your weekend.

I've never seen a Tithonia diversifolia that large. Mine has struggled this year, took some cuttings yesterday, as they root very easily, in hopes that I will have one next year. Emily June is a doll!

Wow! I've never seen anything like it! That plant is super amazing.

Why is it that babies and toddlers love feeding animals so much? Why does the novelty have to wear off so quickly?

Emily is SUCH a doll Julie! I just want to hug her.

That tree is amazing and beautiful. I need one in my yard!

Julie, you're an amazing lady. You must be exhausted from your schedule, but you still find the time to share some beauty and joy. God bless and thanks for the smiles!

What an amazing bush and I love it. I have never seen one of those.

Emily June is just a sweetie.

Thanks for you comment and I can't wait to see what else I can use the die for. I think it would make a neat applique for my quilting. I know what you mean. It is hard to get into house work while still having fun with my new toy. I hope to make a few more for my Thanksgiving table. Hope your liking your new job. Take care. : )

Wow, that is amazing! I've never seen one before in person and certainly not one growing this spectacularly. I wonder how a Mexican Sunflower would grow in my garden.

There's a succulent flower on my blog post today I sure would like your opinion about, we think YOU may know it's name. If you have a minute............

Why shop at Toys r Us when you can just give that sweet Emily a jug of cat food to play with. I can tell by her face that she's having fun.

I'm absolutely in awe of the sunflower bush. Makes my single Kong sunflower look a bit silly.

Sounds like a nice time of year to be in FL.
