Patterns in nature

I was reading some blogs that were new to me the other day, and one blog called Dig,Grow,Compost, had posted pictures of patterns from nature! I really loved this idea, so decided to post a few my DAUGHTER took at Mounts Botanical last weekend! Enjoy!

Hey Julie, my fingers are crossed for you for the Ratbone quilt too! I don't believe all the tickets are sold so you have an even better chance. Vickie

I've always liked the woven burlap stuff on the palm trees. I've gone around my arboretum taking pictures of bark and stuff, just because they look cool.

O.T. Most of the time, I read your blog in a "reader", which includes your pictures, but not the blog template and header photo. So every now and then I just come straight to your blog because I know you like to change things semi-frequently. Lucky thing too, or I would have missed out on your coconut-headed, pretend-to-be-cigarette-smoking friend.

Such marvelous detail when we choose to stop and look. I will have to look at my garden different to see if there is anything to post like this.

I like the interesting textures you've captured. Quite different than many I've seen using this theme.
