Feeling better...finally!

To celebrate I did this little "painting" with Sharpies, Zig 0.1 Micron Pen, Sakura Pen, and Gold paint pen, to celebrate May...which happened upon me when I wasn't looking! I tried to be loose with everything, using a few layers of different inks and paints...having a freedom of springtime madness and wild abandonment! Ha ha ha! Yeah, right! But it did come out feeling not so controlled. I'm not sure what it is I'm trying to say but maybe some of you understand what I mean.

I have been watching YouTube videos on how to make altered art journals again, but still lack the ability to be so free to just slap down paint, collage, etc. and come up with anything. I want to, I really do...and it is so frustrating!

Oh well. I just see all the free, happy artists out there...and then me...all scardy-cat. I'm just a wanna-be.

One day this wanna-be
Will suddeny be all free
Ideas will fly and be seen
On paper.

But for now, I am happy this little painting came out as loosely as it did. Yeah.

Nice drawing, Julie! It does have a loose feeling to it which is something I wish I could be better at too. I'm so used to painting realism and precise detail that it's hard to just loosen up and slap paint around freely.

Btw, glad that you are feeling better ~ xo

This is just beautiful Julie. The colors reminds me of your header photo. I struggle with loose art too. I am trying to do it. Ilove those journals.

that is really pretty Julie. I wish I could draw and know how to use markers and pens more in my work. when I use them I just muddy up my work. They have so many ink pens out in the market or it just that I am noticing them more. I enjoy watching YouTube for getting inspiration. Just enjoy and let is all flow out.

Good to hear that you are feeling a lot better. Have a wonderful day.
Blessings,
: )

Loose...not so controlled -- that's actually something I'm trying to do in my life, as well as in my garden. Glad you're feeling well again. I like your painting a lot, I am unable to even draw a presentable stick figure.
