It's a Rainy Day in Florida...

When I got home from work, I took a picture through my rained on windshield, to include a view of my driving buddy, Sparkles! Sparkles is a painted rubbery plastic spider that my favorite crafter was selling at a festival about 4 years ago. It was Halloween time, and I bought Sparkles for about 3 dollars for my Mom, who, when I pinned it on her shoulder, HATED it!!! She made me take it back, so I pinned it on myself, and have thoroughly enjoyed having her around. I had stuck the pin part of her into the vents on the dash in my car, and she sat up there all these years without melting, flaking, or discoloring! Amazing in the Florida heat and sun.

Anyway it started raining today around 2pm, and started out with a wall of water which fell from the largest BLACk huge cloud EVER! That rain followed us, and has turned into a continual downpour, with occasional thunder, and it makes me just happy to be home now with my Doozey (aka: LullaBelle, the cutest chihuahua in the history of chihuahuas). Here she is being all cute and snuggly after greeting me when I walked in! A bundle of pure LOVE!

Julie- thanks for your kind comment, it really, really helps to hear that.

Did you get the biological father's parental rights terminated? That's what I am pursuing right now. I want to change our last name and open the door for potential future adoption.

I LOVE your puppy and the spider, btw!!

Teasing your mom with scary rubber bugs, shame on you! Sounds like the same way my mom would react to any critter, living, dead, or fake. Makes me wonder how I got to like bugs so much. I had a rubber frog that held onto my winshield wiper control in my old car. And a toy mantis that slid around on the dashboard. Sadly, I have no such acoutrements on the car I drive now.

Is that your hand I see giving Lullabelle a belly rub?

Better rain than snow right? Yup. Time to take time and smell the succulents. Thanks Julie. I love your Lullabelle. What a sweetie! (Just like you)...........

Stapeliad-
No, his bio father paid child support the whole time, so he kept his name.

Cindy- only your sharp eye to details would see my blurry hand on my doggies tummy...blurry. I thought of mentioning my hand on the post, but then I said "Julie...no one will notice your hand"!!! LOLOL. You're good!!!

Sue- forgot you just returned from snow...I think I will take time ot smell the succulents!!! LOL. Thanks for the sweet comment.

That's a cool rubber spider! My youngest daughter at one time wanted a pet tarantula. Luckily for me we never got one, LOL. I think I can handle a rubber spider, a real one, not so much!

LullaBelle is so cute. She looks a lot like my little Dami, my childhood dog.

Donna- I bet Dami was so adorable.

Teri- Never thought of that...maybe that is why I haven't had any break-ins!!! LOL.

Julie, love the spider. I bet sparkles is better than a car alarm, LOL.... We have been getting a lot of rain here also. Friday, it even snowed just north of us. Have a great week...
