Many lizards are found basking in the sun on my succulent tires throughout the days, but today I walked out to take a few pics, and found this sweet little head poking out from the back of the tire...from a little home he made...can you see it???
Here is a close-up! He let me get pretty close, and seemed to trust that I wouldn't hurt him. I named him No Tale...(his tail is missing, and all he has is a stump!)...even though he probably would have some good tales to tell, if he could tell them to me!!! LOL.

Great photo and your little lizard looks right at home, and what a pretty home her has!
I just love all the little lizards, toads and frogs that live in our yard and patio. I have wasted many hours quietly watching the lizards interact- sometime fighting and sometime loving-LOL!
Looks like your tires are good for the environment in more ways than one...
He does look cute, poking out of the rim like that. I had a stumpy lizard earlier this year, thanks to that roaming neighbor cat. His tail has grown out some, but it had been stumped to the point I didn't think it could survive, but it did. Funny how often I watch for it to see how it's doing since I have dozens of these things on my property.

LOL, adorable photos but I had to stop looking at your beautiful plants to see him. I wonder why those lizards are so cute :)
I like the lizards in my yard... they eat so many bugs it's amazing really... your little guys tail will grow back. When something tries to eat them, the tail breaks off and a new one grows. The lizards here are geckos... they only really come out at night. I used to have one that always sat on the window screen in the kitchen, I used to watch him catch bugs attracted to the kitchen light...
How cool it that!!! I love the way your tire planter looks. Show us more!
I recognize that! When you have two rat terriers, you have a lot of tail less lizards! Vickie
Thanks for the nice comments everyone!!! I changed out my sidebar pics to show some others I have. I think I am needing some new succulents...shall I go over to the Home Dept now....YEAHHH!!!!!
Julie that is SO CUTE!!!!!
Hi Julie, your Tire gardens look great and they are inspiring me to make one for myself!
Beautiful lizard, Julie. In response to your queries:
1. Aeoniums and watering - actually, I water 1-2 times per week. If it starts to droop, I'd recommend you gently tie it to a stake to relieve the stress - if it's movable. I'd increase your watering schedule and let it regain its strength and shape.
2. As a fellow admirer of succulents, if you have not already done so, if in your town, I highly recommend the 99 Cents Only Store. Many healthy succulents at a low, low price.
3. I plan to visit the Canary Islands someday. One of my friends came from the islands - he cannot talk enough about it. And it's true, according to him: the plant life is something to behold.
Thank you for visiting my blog and for adding me to your web roll. Your kindness is much appreciated!
Lovely Plantings- Hello! Thanks for the info! I am sitting here looking out at my aeonium, and it's leaves have lifted! I think I will go out and water it again right now...it has been 2 days since I repotted it. I really appreciate your help! It will be a little different from my other succulents watering schedule. Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou!!!
