Easter flora from church egg hunt!

As I waited for the kids to come out for the Easter egg hunt, I walked around and took a few pics of the area filled with treats! These two top pictures I really liked...the palm tree with eggs up the trunk,

And this one egg in the middle of this lovely flowering bush...so pretty!

Did you know that Spanish Moss that hangs in Oak trees, is an angiosperm in the family Bromeliaceae (the bromeliads) that grows hanging from tree branches in full sun or partial shade? I got a pic of it hanging in one of the old oaks on the church grounds, and a close up!
Don't these trees look so good for climbing in? We used to have trees like this (not oaks, but with low branches), that we used to climb on, on our street as a kid. We would spend hours up there pretending.... and telling secrets till way after dark!!! Happy memories!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Sunday!

Yep, we had a wonderful Sunday with family visiting. We had a beautiufl day too. No egg hunts for us because all of our little ones are now grown. Those eggs look so cheerful stuck into the palm tree.

I don't know who has more fun at Easter, the kids or the grownups! Yesterday was great. It warmed up enough that we had to hide the eggs just before Micah came over and then put them in the fridge until after dinner. The chocolate was melting! I hope you had a great Easter, Julie.

The eggs look cute hiding in the palms. Good to hear that you and your family had a nice Easter. Love spanish moss. It grows in parts of Northern california and it is so interesting to look at.

I'm glad you enjoy looking a my Sentimental rose. We bought a nice container for it over the weekend so now it looks nice in the patio area. Right now it is getting a good watering form above.
Blessings,
Bobbie Lynn
