Update

Well, my official diagnosis is Bronchitis. On antibiotic and a new allergy pill. She thinks allergies may be playing a part in my getting sick so often, and seemingly leading to bronchitis each time. I'm sure I will be good as new in a few days now! Thanks for all your kind words to me! I have this evening to lay around. I just put on my nightgown at 5pm! What??? Yeah...I am plannin some serious laying around! Ha.

I feel like I want to take a picture of something for you. Let me go look around...BRB...

OK...how bout some blooming Haworthia Limifolias? They are out of my screenroom and have actually been blooming a few months already! See the very long stalks rising out of them???

And way up at the top you find these white little bells! They are very sweet, but small and hard to see...especially when balancing way up high on slender stalks!

Writing this, reminds me of a song we used to sing as kids (in rounds)...it was called "White Coral Bells"! Did you ever sing it??? It goes like this:
-------------------------
White coral bells
Upon a slender stalk
Lilies of the valley
Deck my garden walk
Oh, don’t you wish
That you could
hear them ring.
That will happen only
when the fairies sing.
-------------------------

Of course, we are not dealing with Lilies of the Valley here, but the white bells part just reminded me of this cute little song. If only some fairies would sing, we would be able to hear the bells ring! Thinking back on childhood memories of this song, and a whole slew of other things it's no wonder I turned into a garden/fairy lover.

Now, if some magic fairies would just come and make me well.....

Those little white pills will make you well. I had never heard this song before. I like reading it. Of course I like Lily of the Valley and Fairies.

OMG, Julie ...I don't think I've heard (or even thought of) that song in over 40 years, but I totally remember singing it in elementary school! And now I've got it stuck in my head!

I hope you'll be feeling better soon. I have also been suffering from what is either the allergy season from hell, or possibly a sinus infection. The first round of antibiotics has had little effect so far (unless you count side effects). I'm supposed to go in on Friday for a CT scan of my sinuses to see what's up there.

Glad you'll be seeing some relief soon - bronchitis is no fun, but you don't need me to tell you that!

Enjoy your lay about!

Good to hear that you know what you are dealing with. Yes, allergies do play a big roll in our health. Good for you to put your PJs on early. : ) Thanks for the photo of your haworthia Limfolia, love the little white flowers. Cactus and succulents put out some amazing flowers and I do not think people appreciate enough.
The lyrics are very sweet. I could see that going into a card. Hum.
Have a good day of rest and hope you will be a 100 % soon.

I just got that Haworthia at Home Depot the other day! Also, yesterday I bought another kind of Haworthia and upon further inspection the roots look weird.... they are covered in little light brown bubbles (they look like those Miracle Grow food beads, but that's not what it is). I read up on all the mealy bugs and other pests and symptoms of root rot but I could not find any picture that looked like what this plant has ALL OVER its roots. I will take a picture and post on my blog when I get home today, any input is very much appreciated. Either way I'm going to return it because I'll flip out if it infects all of my other plants. As mentioned before I hope you get better soon!

Oh dear Julie, as you know, I've been sick this past week myself and then I got hit with an asthma attack and migraine to boot. I have been sick a lot over the past year in particular. :( Anywhoo, I wish you a speedy recovery now that you are being treated for Bronchitis. (((Hugs)))

Your Haworthia Limifolias are looking lovely! I don't know of the song but I can see why your flower bells would make you think of it.

I'm sending some Yankee fairies down there to tend to all your health needs. Leave the back door open. Oh, wait...they're fairies, they don't need doors.

Seriously though, you better stay on top of this bronchitis and do everything the doctor tells you to do. Nothing to fool around with.
