Fathers Day fun!

This evening we had the kids, and grands, some friends and my Mom over for pizza, a lovely salad, and cake and ice cream. It was a lot of fun!

This cake was designed, and almost completely decorated by Donovan! He came up with the idea for using vanilla wafers for faces, and the sprinkles, oh he was all about that! I love how it turned out all heavy on the sprinkles in certain areas! Just loads of love in that darn cake!!! The two fathers, my husband and my son's names were written on each side of the two stick figures, but you could hardly read them for all the sprinkles!!! LOL.

I had to post this Fathers Day card my friend made for both Dad's.

The front of the card said "A special Fairy Tale just for men...Once Upon a time, a Prince asked a beautiful Princess..."will...

you marry me"? The Princess said "NO"!

And the Prince lived happily ever after and rode motercycles and went fishing and hunting and played golf and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted to.
THE END.

Then a little flap said "LIFT ME"...and underneath it said "SORRY FOR YOUR BAD LUCK"!!! (This is one of my friends favorite sayings when you might be complaining to her about something and she never has mercy, but makes that statement and it is always so funny. LOLOL.

Below are pics of a mold I bought at our local really fantastic asian market... molds for whatever ...butter, candy, etc. I bought them for the kids to use with Play Dough.

Before everyone got here tonight Donovan and I had a little fun making some of the animals. This mold has kinda cute, plump little animals that I thought were better for smaller kids. The other one had horse, donkey, and larger mammals. This one we have has a bunny, 2 different mice, a bear, a pig, a penguin, 2 different swans, and a deer.

All in all, a really nice day with perfect weather and we just had to stay inside to keep away from the heat...but looking out the window was lovely!!! Hee hee hee...
