A surprise in the mail, and Gloriosa City!!!

I got a box in the mail today!!!!! It was a nice surprise, in the middle of baking a loaf of bread (my latest obsession)! Mandy from A Few Of My Favorite Things sent it to me, with some of her sweet succulents! Her Donkey Ears, some beautiful Haworthia, some Flippin Flapjack Kalenchoes, and some of the cutest Sedum I've ever seen...almost all rooted too! Thanks, Mandy...I really appreciate them! I really wanted to see the Donkey Ears...can't wait to see what happens with them! I will get them planted up tomorrow!!!

Now, in random order, I present my Mom's Gloriosa Lilies, which have grown all in and around her front garden! Just wanted to share a few pics of all this lovliness! You have this to look forward to Claude!!!

xoxo- Julie

They made it in record time and I'm glad all in one piece! I'll send you a picture of the sedum so you can see what it looks like all filled in...just love it! I'm glad you like them...thanks! The Donkey Ear's elongate and get pointier the older they get!

Have a great night!
Mandy

Oooooh I wish I had gotten a box of succulents in the mail today!! LOL! I love it! That was very sweet of Mandy. I like the idea of doing that, it would be cool to start a succulent mailer club, I have so many leaves propagating here in my apartment that I'd like to share the love! By the way, I love the pictures of your mother's Gloriosa Lillies, I must send the link to my mom so she can see. :)

The gloriosa were looking a little bit challenged, but several days of rain seem to have changed that. They're starting to actually grow! I'm looking forward to my first bloom and pic. maybe late summer, maybe fall... it'll be a surprise, no doubt! Wonderful box of succulents!
