Good first day at work!

Hello! Getting up at 5am isn't too fun, but, hey, I had done it for 20 years prior...kinda back a few years in my life...so what the heck! I was oriented to my job from 5:45am-11:45am, then went to lunch, then to my employee physical and drug testing bit. They fingerprinted me, and quite frankly, I'm not sure if there was anything else they could have done to me, except check if I glow in the dark!!! After that I had to go to my police station for a second fingerprinting to get a license in another state, and then to get gas for the car. It was 4:30pm before I got home. I changed my clothes, got a glass of iced tea, took the grands for a walk and a little play and we watched a movie...then dropped them of at home. Hubby, daughter and I went out to eat to celebrate my new job, and then we came home, watched America's Got Talent, I wrote a letter to my cousin, and have visited blogs, talked to my Mom and my friend on the phone, watered the garden, and now it is 12:30am, and I have to get up again at 5am, so will now take my weary bones to bed!
Hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday!!!
xoxo- Julie

You are going to have to get into that early to bed early to rise routine. Glad you had a good first day.

Julie, I'm so happy for you that you got the job! They couldn't have hired a better person. Isn't it strange how poked and prodded people are by their employers these days? Son has been telling us how his employer can now keep track of all his employees 24/7 through their work cell phones. They're all networked together and tracked by GPS. The only time he can leave it behind is when he is on vacation.

Julie! You are going to wear yourself out with so little sleep. I know getting into a new routine can be a slow go, but be kind to yourself, ok?

BTW, congratulations on the new job!

It deleted my comment...the nerve! Let's try again.

I'm glad you enjoyed your first day, I thought about you as I drove in. Hopefully your second day goes just as well! I wondered how long you were going to keep up your night owl habits having to get up so early...I'm a complete pumpkin after 10:30!

Enjoy your day!

Well, I hope you didn't over sleep and show up late for your second day of work.

I need to check previous posts to see what this new job is all about. I remember you telling us about it and then I took that blogging break and now I can't remember.

I'm all the more flattered that you stopped my Mamma Mia Days last night now that I know you had to get up at 5:00 AM. Thanks.

Wow, what a day Julie, bravo to you for making it until 12:30am! Congratulations on the new job, I too used to work a job where I started early, it isn't too fun but the earlier you start the earlier you get out, and that's fun!

I love the new title image of your Kalanchoe plant, so so pretty!

Please forgive me for not getting my package out to you yet, I feel so bad. I had a crazy weekend of crisscrossing through Florida and then I got sick. I will get it out to you as soon as I can drag myself to the post office! :)

wow what a busy day..congratulations for getting through it. Hope you had a good night's rest to get up at 5am.

Fancy being fingerprinted is the job with a police organisation or is this the norm. Is it for security.

Hi Julie
Congrats on a good first day at work! You sure did have to go through all kinds of security. Where is your job that you required all of that?
hmmmmm..now you may never know whether you glow in the dark or not not ever having been tested for that..*g*...
Better get to bed earlier than that though.
*hugs*

Hi Julie, I have been wondering how the new job is going... Sounds like it's good so far... Working is always an adjustment --but being part-time will help... I hope you continue to love it....

Your Artwork is great --and your yard is fabulous.
Hugs,
Betsy
