Succulent Tiregarden #1

OK, tonight I took a chance at drawing one of my plants, and using Sharpie pen, watercolor pencils, and #2 pencil to creat an ATC. I am laughing at the amaturishness of it, but on the other hand, I am surprised I even did this well! LOL. I think I will try and make a series of these tiresgarden ones, using a different succulent each time. This plant is my variegated elephant bush. I am posting these on my ATC blog as well.

I love it! It came out great, Julie. I can't wait to see more. The only thing that I'm capable of doing with a sharpie pen is writing my children's names on their lunch boxes and such. Needless to say, I didn't inherit the artistic gene.

Julie, I love the stained glass quality of your drawing. And it depicts your succulent beautifully!

I think you've done a great job! I knew immediately what plant is was, and I recognized the blue rocks in your tire garden.

Not bad! I could totally tell what kind of plant it was!

Julie, this is really good with great colors. I love doing mandalas with Sharpie's.

Keep us the good work!

Your drawings are really good. What's an ATC? Am I being really dense here?

I was going to say stained glass too. This definitely something I would put on my wall, and I'm pretty picky. The "amaturishness" of it gives it a pretty cool modern feel. I really like all of the tire garden pics.

You guys are so nice! You know, the more I look at this one in particular, I like it. I saw that Simple Sparrow (see links) makes postcards...maybe this is something I could do with my set of cards when done! I, too, could join Etsy.com. LOL. It would be fun! Of course, this could all be my beer talking right now!!! LOL.
