Ugly to lovely in an instant!

Well...nothing like walking out your front door, to take Doozey for a walk, and finding an old weed growing in your sideyard. This is indicative of the shape of my grass, sadly! BUT...on the good side, it has lovely daisy-like blooms, and look at what is attracted to it!!! Monarch butterflies!!!

I snapped a pic and took the photo to an online photo editor, cropped it, added a frame...and is a work of art now!

From seemingly ugly... to lovely in an instant! Isn't this true of so many things???

You know, I just don't get the aesthetic preference for thick, carbon copy, carpet lawns. (Plus, I don't understand pouring tons of money into a lawn to get it that way.) Give me my lawn full of odd little wild flowers anyday. jan

It is fun to think that monarchs are making their way back.

I love your header photo too. Such wonderful color.

Julie at the top is an address to read a bit more on the rose. It is called Rose Gilardi and I just love it. It is in a container and I did cut the bush down back in January and it has some nice growth. So this will be my second year for it and I hope it will continue to do well. Right now it is getting a nice watering with the rain we are getting at the moment. The buds and flowers are so pretty and I'm going to try drying a few to see what they look like dried.

Thanks for asking and maybe you can find it in your area. Have a nice day.
