Surprise nighttime visitor in the Halloween garden!

Oh, gosh...I went out to take some nighttime pics of the Halloween garden, with the addition of some cheap black fake roses and spiders from the dollar store (since my dark purple lantana blooms all fell off)...but ya know...I kinda like the look of the black in there for Halloween ( think I will go get about 10 more), and then eventually we will have some new lantana blossoms!!! Ceramic bunny's gotta go....and be replaced with a witch!

I can't wait to see it all filled in! As I was sitting there, my cat, Baby, ambled into the picture! He looks all innocent in this picture, but then....

He became possessed.....(Hey, this is the REAL flower color...they are orange marigolds...the other pics don't do them justice)...

And started to scare me with alien glowing eyes! Hehehe.

You never know what we happen when you plant a spooky Halloween garden!!! Baby cat...are you seriously possessed???????

Baby Cat, and my new sux all potted up!

My male cat, Baby (named by my daughter after Baby Spice...poor guy)! I am afraid I have only posted 3 times previously about Baby in this particular blog. If you are interested in seeing these, you can find them HERE!

Now I got over to Lowes for my cactus soil this evening and got all my new sux (Thanks Mandy) into their new homes. They will be moved around, I'm sure of that, over time, but for now...here they are! Can't wait to see how big those Donkey Ears (Kalanchoe gastonis-bonnieri) get!!!!!!

My husband and the kids, tomatos and a papaya question!!!!

My husband with the pets! Look at that cute Doozey tucked into what we call the "Maximum Security Position"!!! This is where she likes to go during rain or storms! Baby, the cat, likes to take his heavy self (you may know how heavy a cat feels when the weight of his feet are on you) right up on your chest.

Today was rainy and the garden plants got a lot of water! Yeah!!!

Have you all seen these little tiny tomato plants that make a ton of little cherry tomatoes...that you can grow in a windowsill, cause the plants are so small??? They have some at my Lowes right now, and I think I must go back and buy one! I just ate a half package of grape tomatos for my midnight snack! YUM! It would be nice to grow my own midnight snacks!!! LOL.

Now, here is my Mom's second papaya off her trees! This was, I believe, her first time growing them, and she planted them from seed, which is impressive. She has, I want to say, 5 trees! Three of them are covered with blooms and early fruits. The first fruit she took off, was chilled and cut....and tasted like (and I'm not kidding)...tasted like butternut squash!!! This is so strange! For a minute, we wondered if it really was a papaya tree!!! LOLOL. Now, I know it must be something in the soil that makes it taste like this, but my question is...what can we do to the soil at this point to make the fruit actually taste like Papaya??? Any ideas???
Thanks in advance!!!

The nappers, and pink Florida skies!

Here is what the sky looked like in the early morning out my east facing screenroom. We are about two miles form the Atlantic Ocean, and I could only imagine how pretty it would have been to see it on the beach. I used to go to a few sunrise services on the beach...in my younger years...I wonder if they still have them. Would be so beautiful anbd awe inspiring!

My daughter took this pic of me sleeping on the couch, with the animals perched on top of me. Who do they think I am, Snow White??? LOL. They never get together for any reason, unless someone is laying down on a couch...then...there they are...miraculously getting along for that big happy occasion! Ha! Crazy animals!!! They are so darn cute though!

Happy Saturday everyone!

Doozey and Baby Tuesday...a little early!

I don't know if any of you remember seeing my "keep to himself" cat? He is an indoor, outdoor kind of guy, and he basically is out or is asleep on our bed. He is pretty much useless, and because he is about 11 years old, he has really slowed down and doesn't really want much interaction with us anymore. He has been a great cat...keeping us pretty much bug and lizard free inside, and rat-free outside! My son always called him "Baby Killer"...maybe that's why! He is a handsome feller!

Hello my sweet little Baby doll!!!

And here are some pics of Doozey enjoying her new found freedom in her safely fenced backyard! She has enjoyed hanging out with her cousin, Bailey (the Lhasa), and running after lizards (favorite activity)...no need for any toys out here...she has live, interactive ones!!! She also enjoys sitting on my lap out there and stretching out in the grass, in the shade of the big huge Sapodilla tree.

What's that I hear?????

Oh God...now what is that smell???

Those are my two sweet babies for this week! Hope everyone has a wonderful Tuesday tomorrow!!!
