Florida State mess up!

Tonight a discussion came up about some of our Florida State symbols. Our state flower is the Orange Blossom (above), which did not surprise me. The state reptile is an alligator...again, no surprise. BUT, the state butterfly is the Zebra Longwing...and I really think it should be the one that shares my name...the Julia Butterfly! Not only that, my fav color has always been orange. Here is a pic of the Julia...don't you agree that they probably messed up on the proper State Butterfly??? LOL!

Yeah, I think they definitely messed up. We should start a petition for them to change the state butterfly to the Julia Butterfly. ;)

I totally agree, let's start a movement!! Beautiful orange blossoms and don't they smell so wonderful!! Ours bloomed a few weeks ago and I love walking around smelling them everywhere.

Are your orange trees in bloom right now? We're long past our blossom season now. Orange blossoms rival most anything else for fragrance.
The Julia Butterfly is beautiful and looks quite large. My name is too uncommon to have anything named after me!

Aiyana- this is just a pic of the orange blossoms...they are not in bloom now...usually between Dec. and Feb here...I just used the photo to show the state flower. I was amazed at all of the "state" symbols...I did not realize there were so many! I would vote for an Aiyana FLOWER for Arizona!!!
