Home again!

Yes, it was a whirlwind trip! We were gone only 7 days. In some ways it feels like it was a month! You know how you are just ready for your own bed??? AND washing machine???? YEAH...you know what I'm talkin about!!! I can't say I am craving my own shower, because that is one thing I fully love in a hotel...strong water pressure, lovely soaps and shampoos, etc! LOL.

I am slowly putting things away...I may have a surge of energy later tonight to create my last ATC for the vacation, and get it posted, but if not...probably tomorrow sometime. I want to get my car cleaned out and get all my work stuff back in the trunk.

Today, we went to the Museum of Science and Industry in Tampa, and saw many wonderous things. We love that museum. We always had science museum family memberships when the kids were growing up. Just last year, we decided to put our money into botanical garden membership instead. This museum is 3 stories high, with a new whole big old wing off to the side (so essentially 4 stories}...and it was only 42 dollars for 3 of us. I guess it is taking some getting used to not still paying for 6 (when we had all the kids home).

We had wanted to visit a Louis Tussaud Wax Museum, which we had listed in our travel atlas (it had been printed in 1996). The museum was in St. Petersberg, Fl. We found out it moved, or went out of business in 1989!!! I hate that...

Oh well...got us home a little sooner, which was a good thing. My little Doozey was so happy to see us!!! My plants are alive thanks to my Mom, and my little dog looks very cute! It takes her about 30 minutes to settle down when she sees us! She is still pretty invigorated even after us being home 3 hours already!

welcome home! When we went to florida for the two weeks over christmas two years ago...we had a dog sitter take our Poo Poo...when we got home she was so happy to see everyone but ME! she ignored me for three days! little brat would turn her head when I looked at her, and leave the room if I tried to hug her. It almost killed me!
We are best friends again I am glad to say...She sleeps in the middle again...only more on my side of the middle! lol
glad to have you back..I was in Wal mart today. I saw that they had a whole new shipment of succulents and thought of you right away!

Hi Julie, thanks for asking about me and the family. We are doing great! I have not had a chance to really blog lately now that the kids are home for summer. We're trying to keep cool out here in Sunny California. It's been so very hot. Hope you and your family are doing well. Sounds like you had lots of fun on your trip. I love the travel pictures you put up from your trip. The spider crabs are adorable.

Julie - OMG! We were only a few miles from each other again. I work in St. Pete and would have directed you to the Holocaust museum (there is also the Fine ARts Museum, the Dali museum, and the Florida International museum in st. Pete). With all those museums I am still wondering why I didn't get a museum job when I moved as I had previous been a museum amanager.

I live in Clearwater which is just across a bridge from Tampa. One of these days we are going to run into each other. I am glad to hear that you are home, safe and sound and doing laundry! LOL
