I was tortured at Stone Mountain!

Well, we took the lift up the side of the mountain to see the carved picture of Jefferson Davis, Robert E. Lee, and Stonewall Jackson. I was tortured because I made a decision we should all walk down the mountain instead of taking the lift down...I had a few aches and pains in my right hip and left foot...but nothing a few extra strength Tylenol didn't take care of. I was glad we did it, because it was so nice to be out in the sunshine and walking in the pines that grew all down the side!

On top of the mountain it looked and felt like we were on the moon, with smooth rock and craters, and only sky above! It was very cool!

I took a pic of these beautiful pine trees, and their gorgeous cones! I know you all know how much I love pines. These trees we chock full of cones, and I just had a wonderful time surveying them!

Walking alongside the railroad tracks as we were about to leave, I saw this little opening under a tree, and wondered if there might be a little fairy living below!

here I thought you were going to say they dangled succulents a few inches from your fingertips and then gave them to someone else!

Tootsie- You know, I wish they would have dangled some...I would have snatched it and run!!! LOL I was searching for succulents yesterday and all I saw was more wandering jew!!! Unbelievable! I think that stuff, and a ton of Kudzu is taking over Georgia!!! Maybe today will provide some interesting photo ops! LOL ;)

I feel your pain, as I have pinched nerves in my lower back and bone spurs in my left heel; however, I typically tune out the pains

How ironic, I was just coinversing about Stone Mountain (and Waffle House) with my co-worker this morning.

:)

We need a Waffle House in NYC. It would be wildly successful.
