BTW...

Someone a while back had asked me where they could buy a Flippin Flapjacks plant, and I cannot find where that comment was placed on my blog. I apologize for not answering right away, but time got away from me, and it never got done. Anyway...just want to say you can generally find them in any garden center...Lowes, Home Depot, Target, to name a few, or a locally owned garden shop that has succulents available. They are fairly common to see for sale. Don't be concerned if the one you find is all green, with no red...it will turn red once you get it out in full sun!

The other thing I just wanted to put out here is this great place to find old, out of print, and just a lot of books about succulents and cacti is called Half.com by EBAY. I just ordered three books here...I seem to gravitate toward collecting the older books. Another kind of collecting addiction, I suppose. Anyway...have fun!

Vickie- the Flippin Flapjacks is the last pic on my sidebar with the red rounded leaves! A kalenchoe thyrsiflora.

That's awesome! I need to get some books of my own about succulent plants. I'm always checking them out from the library. My Flippin' Flapjacks is finally starting to get new leaves. It looks a lot better. It was a rescue during the winter months from Osh.

You have no idea how happy I am to have found you. I have been very recently bitten by the succulent bug. The shapes. The colors. Let me just say that I understand your obsession.

I have a senecio scaposus and am having trouble finding care instructions for it. Is there any chance you would be aware of the best places for find information on succulents or books that are complete and not just photos or websites--ANYTHING!! I'm desperate. All my plants are inside at this point because the collection is so new and I'm still determining how much water and sun each needs.

How rude of me. Forgive me but I seem to be at wits end for locating complete information on just about any succulent. My name is Stacy. I live in Kansas City. I LOVE your blog and your little dog, too. ;-p I can be reached at xiimillion@hotmail.com.
