I think I found it!

I believe I have found the name of the mystery plant from my last post! I'm happy cause I will try and locate some seeds! If anyone thinks I'm incorrect on this ID, please let me know! Never mind that it says zone 4, and I live in zone 10...but I have witnessed it living here, so I feel I, too, can grow it!!!

Gaillardia x grandiflora 'Arizona Sun' (Blanket Flower) • Zone 4
Firey orange-red petals tipped in rich yellow are produced continuously all summer.

Great For:

Dry conditions
Accent perennial or cut flower
Height: 8-14" Width: 15-18"

Blooms: Orange, Red, Yellow (Summer, Fall)

This thing is definately for me!!! Gorgeous!!!

I just left a comment on the other post with the ID.

Arizona Sun is one of the cultivars of the plant.

Too bad I didn't catch the original post because I would've IDed this one in a heart beat. A neighbor grows it and the seeds are scattered by the birds all over the place.

Nice plant when it stays put.

I found some of those in Texas once in my brother in law's old yard. I saved seeds from it and a yellow coneflower. I have only gotten them to germinate once and accidentally left the baby at a rented house garden. :( Aren't they pretty! You have got so much blooming already! Lucky Floridian!

I was going to say Blanket Flower as well.

Hi Julie, Thanks for coming to my blog. I hope you come back often. I am enjoying looking at yours. The word, succulent, caught my attention --since I blogged about our succulents today.

Can you grow Autumn Joy Sedum down in FL???? If so, try it... It's GREAT. The flowers start out light pinkish in late spring/early summer... They bloom until late Fall---and turn colors with the season change. They end up being a dark rust color in late fall. Neat Succulents.

Hugs,
Betsy
